Portrait – 6 Months

Sydney Olivia, 6 Months Young

In the last month…

  1. Sydney has started saying her consonants (ga, ma, da), and today she may have said, “More” when we were eating lunch.
  2. She’s eating solid, organic food–avocado, banana, sweet potato, peaches were a no, prunes, pears… and tomorrow she tries plums.
  3. And, of course, she’s now pooping solids, too.
  4. She has discovered VOLUME!!!!!
  5. And, suddenly, Mom and Dad are the two funniest people on the planet.
  6. She’s made fast friends with Annie, and the moment she sees Annie walk into the room, Sydney squeals like she’s a 38 year old woman who just spotted Taylor Lautner buying toothpaste at Target.
  7. Sydney has gone mobile. The log rolling has begun. As has the back and butt scooting. As have the non-stop attempts to crawl. She’s had some success in her crib where she can kick off the sides, and she’s trying to figure out how to make it work on the carpeting downstairs.

We’re in for it, folks. We’re in for it.

Technically, I’ve been hilarious since shortly after she was born. She’s just now starting to get my sophisticated sense of humor.

That elephant is getting small. Think she’ll still want to hold it for her senior portraits?
