Ryan and Alexa Johnson met in September 2006. They were married August 1, 2008 at the Denver Botanic Gardens–just a few yards from where he proposed under an arbor covered in mistletoe.
According to Alexa: I met Ryan a few months after I moved to Colorado. I was interviewing for a job, and he led my second interview. As he greeted me, he stood up, touched his tie, looked me in the eyes, and boom. That was it. God, let me get this job. God, I hope he won’t be my boss. …I did get the job. And for three long months, he was my boss. The nicest boss I ever had.
According to Ryan: I left that interview, walked into my manager’s office and said “Yup. She’s the one.” And I was right. She is.
